A local tint shop applied a Llumar grey-based tint all-around. The back
windshield and rear passenger windows were tinted at 23% (light-transmittence),
and the front side windows were tinted at a slightly lighter 35%.
Unfortunately, the back windshield was done with two pieces of tint,
but the seam is quite well hidden along a defroster line. The seam is
not visible from the exterior. From the interior, when looking in the
rear-view mirror on a sunny day, the seam looks like a strand of spider
web.
It's illegal in my province to have the front side windows tinted, but
so far I have not had any problems with the police. I had the fronts
tinted lighter than the back so that my tint appears legal. Furthermore,
I try to drive with the sunroof open, or at least uncovered when it's
raining, so that the extra light makes the fronts appear even lighter.
